The online Journal of Cultural Research proposed for your attention has been conceived to contribute to the research substantiation of culturology and meeting other challenges. As the Founder and Publisher of the journal, the Russian Institute for Cultural Research endeavours not only to publish promptly the most interesting study results of academic researchers, post-graduate and doctoral students as to establish a platform for the collective elaboration of research approaches towards exploration of the diverse and comprehensive cultural problematics, making start from cultural theory and history through a cycle of sociocultural studies and humanities to applied cultural research, cultural policy analysis and other.
The culturology or cultural studies develop on the interdisciplinary grounds, and arise debates and collisions of opposing viewpoints and research positions. That is why the Journal offers a forum for debate opened to wider public and relies to excite interest of both academic and Internet audiences.
The Journal of Cultural Research publishes original articles including theoretical, synoptic, topical, and methodological ones, book reviews, etc. that are not submitted for publication and have not been published elsewhere. Contributions are to consider culture from any relevant discipline or interdisciplinary approach.

For review and publishing the Journal of Cultural Research accepts manuscripts (up to 40 000 characters including endnotes and bibliography) in Russian and/or English. Related materials if any (illustrations, figures, tables, etc.) should be submitted as additional DOC, RTF, JPG, TIFF files and have continuous numbering, location within the text, and captions. The format of the audio and video files is to be previously discussed with the editors.
A contribution is to include:
• name (s), full academic degree(s), and the main institutional affiliation
of the author(s);
• author’s contact details (email and full postal addresses);
• manuscript title;
• abstract (from 500 to 800 characters) and its translation
into Russian / English;
• up to 10 keywords that reflect the manuscript's content;
• full version of the manuscript.
