Abstract. This article addresses the issue of the existence and activities of such a social institution as a creative dynasty. Along with this, attention is focused on the problems of state support of artists and dynasties in particular. The author focuses precisely on painting - a segment of professional art that is universal and the most promising, but, in our time, neglected by both the state and scholars in the field of cultural studies and art history. The article mentions that the problem of developing and creating a new, effective and efficient support program for professional artists has long been ripe.
