B.Wall describes trade in Chukotka at the beginning of the 20th century and changes in the life of the local population that occurred as a result of active contacts with American and Russian merchants. The manuscript is a valuable source for studying the socio-economic, cultural and everyday history of Chukotka at the beginning of the 20th century.
