Abstract. The article examines the key areas of updating cultural heritage sites as a tool for the formation and strengthening of Russia's cultural sovereignty. The article analyzes modern approaches to rethinking cultural heritage, including it in current cultural practices and public policy. Examples of successful integration of cultural heritage into educational, tourism and media projects are considered, as well as the role of digitalization in expanding accessibility and preserving cultural values.
