Abstract. Russian modernization has led to unpredictable consequences and created a specific social response. Prevailing in the domestic studies political and economic determinism not thematised everyday life-world as a factor of influence on social reality and its transformation. Analysis of the ratio of systemic and non-systemic transformation in the dynamics of contemporary Russian society reveals the mechanisms by which new social reality and predict the results of modernization. The use of the phenomenological approach can detect the internal sources of social and cultural development, which will be organic for Russian society.
