Crime and Punishment on the Alexandrinsky Stage

Abstract. Review on the Alexandrinsky theatre production Crime and Punishment after Dostoevsky’s novel, staged by the Hungarian director Attila Vidnyánszky. The author states that the performance opens new vistas and may be treated as a breakthrough of contemporary Russian stage in dealing with Dostoevsky’s works.
