Stage version of Dostoyevsky’s novel ‘Karamazov brothers’: the endeavor of staging in a mono play genre (Based on the material of the solo performance by A.Volf, written and directed by L.Tunieva)

Abstract. The article is focused on the analysis of the mono performance based on the novel ‘Karamazov brothers’ by Dostoyevsky. The performance was presented in the program of ‘One, two, three’ festival which is organized by Novosibirsk State Theatre Institute (drama school). This biennale fest of solo performances and ‘chamber plays’ every two years gives chance to professional and student theatres to perform in Novosibirsk. The solo-play ‘Karamazov brothers. The novel’s pages’ is discussed as a successful example of a stage version in a mono play genre.
