From the history of the national exposition thought: the ideas and proposals of the First All-Russian Museum Congress (1930) in the field of ‘museum language’ and their reflection in the exhibitions of the early 1930s
Abstract. The article is devoted to the conceptual ideas and proposals in the field of Museum language and methods of designing museum exhibitions, expressed at the first Russian Museum Congress (1930), which has rendered significant influence on practices Soviet and Russian museums.

Key words: museum, museum congress, museum exhibition, museum language, exhibition techniques.
