Abstract. The article reveals the role and place of the military justice system, military prosecutor's office, military police and military correctional institutions in the system of military education of servicemen in the Russian army of the mid-19th - early 20th centuries. A comprehensive study of the problem under consideration based on archival documents and materials reveals the real state of discipline of military ranks of that time, studies disciplinary military practice, finds out to what extent the work on military education, restoring order in the army was systematized, logical and adequate to the level of development of public relations in the Russian state.
