Abstract. The Mikhaylov International Annual Conference (December, 11–12, 2013) is held in memory of Alexander Mikhaylov (1938—1995), a prominent Russian philologist, a Germanist, musicologist, culturologist. The main topic of the 2013 conference was “Theory and History of the Literature/ Culture: Aims and Methods of their Research”. This year the conference was dated for A.Mikhaylov’s 75th anniversary. The topics of the reports, held at the conference, are Mikhailov’s scientific heritage, the aspects of the world literary process, the key words of the study of literature, the research of the works of the Russian and European writers, the history of literary genres.
