Evolution of Shaman tradition in the Tuva Republic

Abstract. Article is about evolution of Shamanistic tradition in Tuva and it`s functioning in past and present. The paper is based on the materials collected by the author during field researches in 2000-2012s. The main attention have laid down is given the distinctions existing between traditional and modern Shamanism.

Key words: shamanism, neoshamanism, shaman practices, traditional beliefs, religious of Siberian peoples.
