Eurasian Union: the ideological foundation and political reality

Abstract. In article need to consider the theoretical foundation laid in works of K. N. Leontyev, P. N. Savitsky, N. S. Trubetskoy and other representatives of eurasianism and also N. Ya. Danilevsky's concept about identity of the Russian (Slavic) civilization, in the solution of pressing problems of formation of the Euroasian union as a form and a way of integration of the former Soviet Union, the allied and state construction in a format of such organizations as the Customs union, the Uniform Economic Spaces (UES), the Eurasian Economic Union, OCCS (Organization of the Contract of Collective Security) and, actually, Euroasian union (EAS) is considered. The author comes to a conclusion that the Russian sociocultural space formed throughout several centuries and standards of the Russian civilization accepted for the state construction in territories of the former USSR and the Russian Empire can be base of integration processes within the Euroasian union. From here again created state association would be logical to call the Russian Union.
