Abstract. The paper considers moral and spiritual values of the traditional Russian family, which were formed due to a culture-forming religion - Orthodoxy. Focus on what is currently improving pedagogical culture of the family is the overarching goal of the state policy in the sphere of education and culture. In this respect, particular attention is paid to the experience of Shuya branch of Federal state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education «Ivanovo State University» for the implementation of cultural-educational activities among students. The article also provides the analysis of the results of research and prospects for further study of this problem. The main condition for the formation of the younger generation family moral values, preparing them for decent family and performing the role of responsible parents highlighted the cooperation of the University with the institutions of Culture and the Church.
