Children's prosthetics: technology and cultural aspects

Abstract. The technology of 3D printing is revolutionizing the design, manufacturing and maintenance of prosthetic limbs. What is very important for children's prosthetics, where the growth of the child is forced to constantly change the used prostheses. This leads to a rethinking of the role of design in prosthetics and to an understanding of the importance of cultural research to facilitate the adaptation of the child. It is also important the formation of specialized online communities.
