Abstract. The article examines the tendencies to the transformation of various aspects of state and public life (political, ecclesiastical, law enforcement, in the field of art and education) into a game simulacrum. This process is a consequence of the deontologization of being in the epoch of modernity and the further postmodern deconstruction of reality. The novelty of the approach lies in understanding the ideological essence of postmodernist attitudes, which are currently being established in the world and in Russia. The author comes to the conclusion that loyalty to the Orthodox tradition is the only effective way to save the Russian civilization from drawing meaningless games into the rhizomatic space.
