Research of the traces of the Russian expedition of the XVII century on the island of Thaddeus Severny and in the Gulf of Sims
 Abstract. The article describes new studies of the site of the death of the Russian expedition of the XVII century on the island of Thaddeus and on the shore of Sims Bay. A brief history of the discovery of a unique object of archaeological heritage and its study by A. p. Okladnikov is given. A brief description of the findings made on the site is given. Proposals for its new research have been put forward.

Key words: Arctic, the Laptev sea, Taymyr, Thaddeus island, of the Gulf of Simms, archaeology, and Russian sailors.
