The image of Holy Grand duke Alexander Nevsky (bead embroidery on canvas) from the collection of the Nizhny Novgorod State historical and architectural museum reserve
Аbstract. The article considers the unique item from the beads collection of Nizhny Novgorod State Historical and Architectural museum-reserve. It is the icon of Holy Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky which was made in the technique of counted embroidery with beads on canvas in the 40s of the 19th century. The attribution, time of creation, material and manufacturing technique were deeply analyzed. So we can conclude that this embroidery was highly artistic monastery workshop, connected with one of the nunnery in Nizhny Novgorod region.
