UDC 243 Mongush M. «White wall temple stood as a distinctive landmark sign» (in the footsteps of the british expedition to tuva in 1910) Absrtact. The article is about the Verkhnechadansky (Upper-Chadan) Buddhist temple in Tuva that was visited by members of English expedition under the leadership of geographer and traveler D. Сarruters in 1910.Today this temple becomes one of the popular tourist objects of Siberia. The author reports about the role and place of the temple in the past and present.
