Essay on the history of the monument engineering

Abstract. This is a review on the book by V.V.Bondar and O.N.Markova «Krasnodar hyperboloid by engineer Shukhov: Essay on the history of the monument of engineering art - a water tower system made by academician Shukhov» (Krasnodar, 2014). The theoretical (in terms of reconstruction of the background, history of construction and existence of the tower) and practical (related to the potential use of the monument of science and technology as sightseeing, tourist and recreational facilities) significance of the study are considered in this article.
