Abstract. The article enters into scientific circulation the information about the collection of ancient jewelry, found during the excavations at the Cathedral Hill in Smolensk in 1999. Of particular interest are: the rare metal mold for the open rings and bronze holder decorated with engraved figures of dragons. Stylistic features of the image and the archaeological context of the latest findings allow us to attribute it to the period of the 2nd half of the XII - 1st half of the XIII centuries.
