Problems of conservation and the archaeological study of the ancient city of Acre: negative impact of the natural environment and search strategy
Abstract. The article examines the range of problems encountered by researchers of the ancient city of Acre and its necropolis, connected with conservation and scientific study of the monument. At present, this important object of the archaeological heritage is subject to active destruction, associated with the impact on the monument of natural and human factors.

Key words: Ancient fortification, cultural layer, conservation of cultural heritage, conservation.
