Abstract. The article explores the role of the spiritual and artistic traditions of the Russian North in the context of the evolution of national Russian art, the preservation of the spiritual heritage of Russia, the hierarchy of values of Russian civilization. The notions of «multi-vector spiritual and artistic influences», «stability of traditions» and «multiple-choice» are defined as key ones within the framework of this problematics. For the first time, based on the conclusions of Yu.Lotman, a theoretical model of concentric circles, reflecting the formation and evolution of the spiritual and artistic traditions of the Russian North has been proposed.
