Abstract. The article considers the place and role of special musical disciplines in the context of interdisciplinary relations in the educational process of choreographic education. The expediency, prospects, and forms of work on the development of intonation hearing are analyzed on the material of Russian folk songs that form specific skills that contribute to the development of the musicality of the folk branch dancers. This approach solves not only the problem of educating musical hearing, but also brings up love and respect for Russian culture, which allows students to better understand the features of the musical language and poetics of Russian folk dances.
