Abstract. The article examines the process of resettlement of the German population from the Kaliningrad region to the Soviet occupation zone of Germany in the autumn of 1947, which was one of the final elements of the integration of the former German province of East Prussia into the USSR. Based on documents not not previously introduced into scientific circulation and stored in the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kaliningrad Region, the preparation for the eviction, its organization, and its results are analyzed.
