«Visions» by Alexander Blok and «Dreams» by August Strindberg

Abstract. The article focuses on the influence of the works and personality of August Strindberg on Alexander Block (by the example of A. Strindberg’s drama «The Play of Dreams» and A. Block’s lyrical drama, «The Stranger»). Two great poets were united by spiritual kinship and the closeness of their worldviews. A. Block is the only great Russian writer whose works show traces of A. Strindberg’s direct influence.
