Abstract. The review examines the cultural significance of the publication of texts by outstanding representative of the European avant-garde of the first half of the twentieth century, the Hungarian artist László Moholy-Nagy, it contains a brief analysis of his entire artistic heritage.

Key words: avant-garde, vision in motion, light, painting, photography, film.
