UDC 304.2 Sinetsky S. Cultural Transformations in the 21st Century: Rethinking Prospects Abstract. The author analyses seemingly discrete facts and events related to different spheres of human activity to identify t principal trends in cultural transformation of the 21st century. He assumes that the traditional cultural paradigms will be inevitably dismantled and the new ones adequate to the on-going changes will emerge. The article also draws attention to the probability of the inter-civilisational conflict caused by the uneven demographic transition in the communities pertaining to different civilizational levels.
