Abstract. The article is devoted to the main trends in the popularization of scientific and technical heritage within excursions. The studies on relics of science and technology and the promotion of their value in the media and in the activities of the All-Russian Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments are considered as important factors in incorporating scientific and technical heritage into excursion practices.
Keywords: scientific and technical heritage, scientific and technical monuments, museums, scientific and technical societies, excursion activities, research, popularization of heritage.
