Abstract. The relevance of the study is due to the need for philosophical understanding of the ethnocultural symbolism of the Hezhe people in the context of cultural transformation and environmental change.The novelty of the work lies in the interpretation of traditional environmental practices through a semiotic model,revealing their cultural and regulatory function. The purpose of the study is to identify the semiotic structure of traditional environmental practices and determine its cultural significance. The methodological basis is the comparative semiotic analysis of ethnocultural forms and symbolic systems. It is established,that the symbolic organization of culture forms sustainable environmental values, contributes to the preservation of cultural identity and regulates human interaction withthe natural environment.
