Abstract. This article explores the multifaceted work of the outstanding Soviet military leader, Marshal of the Soviet Union A.M. Vasilevsky. The authors focus on highlighting the distinctive features of his leadership style at the General Staff and his commanding style as a representative of the Supreme High Command Headquarters and Commander-in-Chief of Soviet forces in the Far East. The article is timed to coincide with the 130th anniversary of A.M. Vasilevsky's birth.
