Interview with James V. Wertsch

Abstract. The questions addressed to Professor James V. Wertsch, Director of the McDonnell International Scholars Academy (Washington University in St. Louis, USA) are concerned with the notions of culture, mediated action, and cultural tools; the influence of Russian scholarship on contemporary interdisciplinary research and prospects for establishing memory studies as a particular academic discipline.
