UDC 008:002 Sokolov А. Three Faces of Information Society Abstract. The author discusses the notion of information society, which is multiple meaning, though not always considered as such. Several interpretations of this notion used by cultural researchers are characterised, namely the sociological, scientific futurological, and mythological ones. These interpretations are analysed from the standpoint of their substance, interrelations, and coming into use.
