Young communist on a soviet political poster: main peculiarities and evolution of the image (1918–1941)
Abstract. The article is devoted to the image of a young communist (Komsomol member) in Soviet political posters during the pre-war period (1918–1941). Posters were used by the Soviet government as one of the main tools of communicating and persuading the population, and they had the ability to convey necessary information briefly. The author explores the specific techniques, themes, and images used in such propaganda through a wide thematic range of visual materials. Through their language, posters showed young people's basic life strategies, from leisure activities to military skills. The author concludes that visual propaganda was highly effective, playing an important role not only in education but also in preparing young people for future war conflicts.

Keywords: komsomol, image of young communist, soviet poster, soviet propaganda.
