Theory of Archetype and Conceptology

Summary. The article is devoted to the conceptology of Russian culture, its genesis, and actual state. The author discusses the notions of “archetype”, “(meta)concept”, “constant” and their interpretations, especially by Sergei Askoldov and Yuri Stepanov. A special attention is given to the interrelations between those basic categories including “meta-languages of culture”. Results of the research based upon are of the general character and could be applied in various areas of the cultural research.
