Interdisciplinary Study of Creative Industries and Creative Economy
in the City of Krasnoyarsk

Abstract. The paper presents the results of the comprehensive research in development of creative industries in Krasnoyarsk, which contains an assessment of the market potential of the sector. The authors evaluate its share in the city economy and impact on social and cultural milieu of the city. The paper represents general estimations of creative industries in the region, portrays particular subsectors, and provides expert assessment of the city and region readiness to work out and pursue a strategy aimed at development of creative industries and creative environment.
